Carers Trust
Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. They work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Their vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.
Carers Direct (NHS Advice)
Caring for someone can be very difficult and many people find that they need extra help with the care they provide.
Free, confidential information and advice for carers. Lines are open 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 4pm at weekends. Calls are free from UK landlines or you can request a free call back. You can also ask for a call back in one of more than 170 languages.
Carers Registration
If you care for or help a partner, friend, relative or neighbour who has an illness, physical or mental health difficulty, then you are a carer. The surgery recognise the extremely valuable work undertaken by carers in the community and are keen to provide information and support. Our Carers Liaison, Mel Rudd, is here to help you in your caring role & signpost you to relevant support services.

Carers Support West Sussex
An independent charity supporting some of the 89,000 family and friend carers living in West Sussex. With more than 23,000 carers currently registered with the charity, they run Support Groups, a Carer Response Line, help carers access equipment to assist them in their caring role or provide funds so that carers can do something for themselves. They can also help carers access counselling and call back services, wellbeing support and have teams in all the of the major hospitals in West Sussex, as well as East Surrey Hospital in Redhill.
