I had a dressing changed after attending A&E - the nurses at the surgery were very quick to respond due to the infection risk and carried out a thorough assessment and re dressed booking in further appointments in advance too and explaining what they were doing at each stage - I felt a lot more comfortable and reassured thank you very much

As someone who doesn’t often use the Drs
When I do need them I find it very hard to get an appointment. Even a phone consultation takes hours to be returned. I appreciate how busy the NHS is. If I call at 9am why do I never get a return call before at least 3pm. ??? I never call unless it’s urgent and I’ve tried every other sauce to sort the problem.

My recent appointment with Dr Ferguson did not meet my expectations. He seemed reserved and not fully engaged, and I was prescribed medication containing lactose despite informing him of my intolerance. I felt I did most of the talking and left without clear answers or resolution, so I still need to seek further support.

Not enough apppintments at surgery need more doctors and bigger triagage phone team first thing in morning. Struggling with medical issues with no help as 111 say is you can still do some of your normal tasks all ok and gp full on ringing at 8am.

I had a routine smear test at Heene Road surgery on Monday 20th April. Within 40 minutes I was experiencing pain in my cervix. Upon returning home, the pain had worsened and I felt fatigued. By nightfall I had developed a fever. When I called the following morning at 08.10 to speak to a GP, having spent the whole night frightened, feverish and in terrible pain, I was made to wait, on hold, for nearly an hour. When I finally got through to reception, I was told the list was full and I would have to call back the next day. This is disgusting and inhumane and quite frankly, malpractice. I was fine and well before my smear.
Upon calling 111, I was advised to go straight to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Worthing Hospital where I spent over 12 hours, to be diagnosed with PID. I am considering seeking legal action.

It's impossible to be seen, and never by the same consultant, which makes it so difficult and complicated to time manage as you have to explain everything again to a new person. I get stress if I know I have an issue as I now it's very difficult to get an appointment. I called 8:10 this Monday, no appointments, 8:20 today, no appointments left. I am aware that I need to call at 8 but I am working full time and starting at 8. And even days I called at 8 I don't get seen. The staff is not the issue, it's the system. Even now I just need a fit not and a medical records for an Insurance and I am really struggling to get things done. I really missed my old surgery in Brighton...

The communication from this practice regarding my cervical screening was extremely difficult. After receiving an invitation to book my screening via the NHS app, I called the practice. The receptionist incorrectly told me they had no record of the invitation because I was supposedly on the five-year testing schedule. This was confusing, as I was aware the five-year testing standard only began in July 2025, and since my last smear was in 2023, I knew I should be due for the standard three-year test. I expect healthcare staff to be informed about testing guidelines and to avoid causing patient confusion. Fortunately, a nurse quickly called me back to clarify the situation, confirming I was indeed due for my three-year smear and that if the results are normal, my next test will be in five years.

The lady that carried out my AAAscan was lovely.
She explained everything as we went through the scan and generally had a wonderful ‘bedside manner’.

Very efficient, got results of blood test same day. Only complaint, I made the mistake of choosing Heene Road surgery, no where to park. Looking forward to new centre opening!!

I asked for a PSA retest which come with a cost and it was quickly agreed and I had the result the same day. I mentioned a potential problem with my had to the phlebotomist and she suggested emailing and I know have an appointment to check it Great results.

I am never kept waiting on the phone for long. Reception are friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. The doctor that I saw last week was very perceptive & gave me a thorough checkover. The young nurse that gave me my last injection was only 10 mins late & performed the changed formula with ease & laughter.

During my appointment on 06/03 the nurse was absolutely amazing. She explained everything about what was to happen in the appointment and showed me all relevant information checked my details were correct and during the screening she was kind and caring. I can’t remember her name but thank you to her for making a smear test as pleasant as possible!

The receptionist was a joyous and helpful woman who made my first visit to this surgery that’s new to me feel so warm and welcoming. The digital signage in the nurse waiting area was informative and the nurse Michelle Advincula who conducted my smear appointment was the loveliest person, she was informative, thorough, friendly and so helpful and kind.

I have had to visit the drs more in the past few months than ever. I had a shingles jab which was easily booked and changed. I was dealt with promptly and with sensitivity. I also was unwell early this year and I was listened to and checked out and sent for tests extremely carefully and thoroughly. I have never had to wait long for any of the appointments and doctors kept in touch with me while i was ill. Today I took my daughter for a gynae procedure that she was extremely anxious about. The doctor and assistant were great with her, very matter of fact, informative and sensitive to her needs. All very positive experiences.

I am very happy with this surgery. I’ve had quite a lot of appointments since I joined last year and everyone has been friendly and efficient. The phone calls have also been a positive experience, from admin and medical staff. The receptionists are helpful and friendly, I can’t fault it. Phone calls for an appointment can be difficult but I think this is the case everywhere now.

I called and reception were really helpful in organising a tetanus jab. Emma called me back and arranged a time. I was travelling and the SMS system worked well when Emma requested a minor change. I met Emma as planned and Emma was great. Jab done and I'm covered.

I enquired in person ant the surgery about having a shingles vaccination. The next morning a nurse rang me to book and confirm my appointment. When I arrived for the appointment the next morning , after waiting 15 mins, was told I wasn’t eligible. This was so poor - the appointment should not have been booked in the first place. A waste of everyone’s time and effort.
