| Ante-Natal Clinic |
Patients are seen by the
midwife at clinics by appointment and also by the doctor
during surgery hours. Most antenatal check-ups with the
Midwives will take place at South Lodge Children and
Family Centre, 40 Crescent Rd,
Worthing. |

| Baby Clinic | Various baby checks are run by
our doctors, practice nurses and health visitors for child developmental checks and immunisations. This allows an opportunity to discuss other problems eg sleeping, feeding and child health worries.
Immunisations clinics are held on Thursdays between 11am and 12 noon
at Shelley Surgery. |

| Asthma Clinic | This is run by our practice nurses in conjunction with the doctors, by appointment only. |

| Diabetic Clinic | This is run by our practice nurses in conjunction with the doctors, by appointment only |
 |
| Family Planning | Contraceptive care is provided by all the doctors and nurses during surgery hours. |
 |
| Flu and Pneumonia Vaccinations | An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes.
The vaccination is also available for over 65's,
patients with liver problems and any carers of dependent patients.
Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. Home visits can be arranged for housebound patients. You may also be entitled to a pneumonia vaccination if you have never had one previously - please ask at reception. |

| Heart Disease | Our practice nurses and clinical pharmacist offer appointments to review your heart disease, in conjunction with the doctors. Consultations are by appointment only. |

| Menopause | Our nurse
practitioners offer
appointments which can be made a reception. |

| Minor Surgery | The practice carries out minor surgical procedures on a weekly basis by appointment. The doctors will be happy to advise you on this. |

| Non-NHS examinations | The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg for insurance and driving licences, by appointment. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. Please ask at reception for the charges for these services. |

| Phlebotomy Services | Patients can make an appointment to have their blood test at
either surgery. Blood test appointments are available every weekday morning.
The Pathology Departments at Worthing and Southlands Hospitals
operate walk-in clinics for this too. Please ask at reception for
the times. |

| Pregnancy Testing | Teenage patients can request a free pregnancy test from the pharmacy.
Other patients who suspect they may be pregnant should obtain and
perform a test before any appointment. |

| Smoking Cessation | If
you would like to be included on a smoking cessation course, please
complete a questionnaire available at reception.
One of the practice nurses will contact you and arrange your
appointments and treatment. You do not need to see the doctor first. |

| Travel Immunisations | Please make an
appointment at least six weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure
adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and
vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. A
list of these charges is held at reception. |

| Chronic Disease Management
Clinics | These are run by our
nurse practitioners and practice nurses in conjunction with the
doctors, by appointment only. |
| Weight Management | For patients with a weight problem we run a weight management clinic offering advice regarding healthy eating and exercise. Please make an appointment with the doctor to discuss this. |

| Counselling | A counsellor
and mental health practitioner and advisor are
based at the surgeries. Please ask your doctor for a referral. |
